"Spode" Original Painting 36x48

This is an older piece out of my personal collection painted after coming out of a darker period in my life. I wanted to convey the sense of peace that had settled over me while showing traces of what I had come out of. 

I created this piece during one long session, using almost entirely natural sponges and both fluid and gel mediums to create the blend of colors and textures. I had a high school teacher that used the word "spode" (I assume his own creation) to mean very cool or chill. I felt that term fit well for this piece.

This piece is 36"x48" (91x122cm), 1.5" (4cm) deep, acrylic on canvas, painted sides. Signed lower right. ready to hang. Painting will be packed by artist and shipped free to customer.
